Luster National, Inc. (Luster) established the Luster National Internship Program (LNIP) to offer undergraduate students valuable and professional development opportunities. The internship positions are structured as immersive, on-the-job training experiences designed to expose students to a wide range of project activities and maximize their skill development within the 10-week program.

California | 2 Positions
CA High-Speed Rail Field/Office Engineer Intern
Help build the nation's first high-speed rail system.
Put on a hard hat and inspect CA HSR bridges while they're under construction, then head back to the office to learn Primavera P6 scheduling. You'll work alongside Luster engineers and meet the AECOM/Fluor JV and California High-Speed Rail Authority teams.
- Structural and quality control inspections on active sites
- Quantity take-offs, change order tracking, and design reviews
- Schedule analysis and delay impact evaluations
- Executive meetings, site walks, and special project events
Who can apply: Civil Engineering or Construction Management juniors and seniors at accredited four-year California universities, such as Fresno State and UC Merced.

GDOT MMIP Civil Engineer Intern
Help reshape how Georgia moves.
Join GDOT's Major Mobility Investment Program, one of the Southeast's most transformative transportation programs. You'll spend your summer on multibillion-dollar highway, bridge, and interchange projects alongside senior Luster engineers, our teaming partners, and GDOT staff.
- Field visits to roadway, bridge, grading, and drainage work
- Plan reviews to spot conflicts and constructability issues
- Daily reports, RFIs, submittals, and pay item tracking
- Hands-on time with Civil 3D, MicroStation/OpenRoads, and project controls tools
Who can apply: Civil Engineering or Construction Management juniors and seniors at accredited four-year Georgia universities, such as Georgia Southern and UGA. Local candidates preferred.
